Components of an Internet Marketing Sales Funnel

As an Internet Marketer one of your primary roles as a business owner is to build a list of loyal customers.  This starts with your Internet Marketing Sales Funnel.  Unfortunately, this seems to be the hardest thing for some entrepreneurs and they never transition through the four stages of building a successful Internet Marketing business. Because they never transition from the novice Network Marketer to the List Building Network Marketer they never learn how to make money in network marketing.

Before we get to the components of an Internet Marketing Sales Funnel, I would like to tell you about the one skill that will drastically increase your chances of building a successful business. It is one of the most important parts of marketing that most marketers over look and an area they sometimes fail to increase their knowledge in and that’s copyrighting. Copyrighting affects all areas of your business when it comes to communicating with the public. If you want to drastically tilt the odds in your favor, learn everything you can about copyrighting. Copyrighting is the one skill that affects many aspects of your business and one that can become a business by itself.

Components of an Internet Marketing Sales Funnel:

A properly built Internet Marketing Sales Funnel has several components and if you’re missing one, you can sabotage your ability to grow your business. Sales Funnels can be complex, but I will keep this simple to help those that may be struggling to build their business. The following components are needed for your Internet Marketing Sales Funnel:

Marketing – There are different marketing strategies that you can use to drive traffic to your website, blog, or lead capture page. For the purpose of this article we’re going to focus on your lead capture page which will be discussed below. The problem is most Internet Marketers try to do them all and never become an expert marketer with one marketing strategy. Pick one marketing strategy and use it until you’re driving 20 to 50 leads a day to your lead capture page.

Lead Capture Page – your marketing peaks your leads interest and they click on a link for additional information which takes them to your lead capture page. It is your lead capture page that offers your leads something of value in exchange for their contact information. If your marketing discussed providing them an answer to a question or offered to help them solve a problem, you lead capture page is where you tell them what they’re going to get. Your offer has to be of more value to your lead that it’s worth providing you their contact information.

There are three parts to your lead capture page that you must get right:

  1. The headline and sub-headline
  2. The compelling offer
  3. The capture form

Auto-Responder – your auto-responder should be set up to deliver a “Thank you” email to the leads that submit their contact information. You can also use your auto-responder to deliver whatever you offered your leads on your lead capture page. This is also where you start building a relationship with your leads to convert them into prospects. You continue to provide them with information of value and share with them so they can get to know, like, and trust you. In your email marketing you will share valuable content with them and present them with offers for products or services that you are selling. Some will eventually buy from you and become your customers.

Thank you page – you have many options with your “thank you page.”

  1. You can provide a link to download the product that you’re going to give your lead.
  2. You can tell your lead that the product was delivered to the email address they entered on the lead capture page.
  3. You can provide a link to a “One-time-offer” (OTO) and offer your lead a product or service that is an upgrade to the product offered on your lead capture page. You give the lead the option to purchase or say “no thank you” to the upgrade. On the “no thank you page” you can offer a product or service that is a downgrade from the OTO. If the lead says “no” to this offer you can take send him/her to the download page for the product or service that you offered on your lead capture page.

Once you have your Internet Marketing Sales Funnel set up you can start testing different parts of the process (headline, sub-headline, offer, color of text, capture page with video, capture page without video etc.) to tweak it for optimal performance. You must also track your marketing so you can determine the best source of leads and get rid of the sources that are not producing leads.

The simple four part Internet Marketing Sales Funnel described above can earn you a six figure income if set up properly. Your sales funnel should do the sifting and sorting for you. It should take your leads through an elimination process and spit out qualified leads.
