Creating A Successful Mindset For Your Network Marketing Business!

Success is not determined by what you do, but what you do daily. Success comes from repeating the process over and over again until you achieve the results that you are looking for. No becomes good at anything without practice, and repeating the income producing activities of your business will bring about the success that you desire. The key to creating a successful mindset for your network marketing business is to replace the old limiting beliefs that you have with new empowering beliefs.

From the time we are old enough to understand the spoken word, we are bombarded with limiting beliefs that after years of hearing the same things over and over again, we adopt these beliefs as truth and the pain associated with them becomes our reality and keeps us stuck in the past. These beliefs are passed down from generation to generation because no one has taught our parents or grandparents a different way, so they do the only thing that they know and that’s pass their limiting beliefs on to us. It’s time to break the cycle.

Let’s take a look at one of those limiting beliefs that cause us to procrastinate because we have allowed what was taught to us as a child to dictate how we live as adults. When we are young and developing our sense of self one of the limiting beliefs that we are taught is “Don’t talk to strangers.”  As adults that may cause us to be afraid to pick up the telephone and call leads or as Dr. Maltz puts it in Zero Resistance Selling, we develop call reluctance.

In the network marketing industry 85 percent of our income comes from our ability to connect with others and 15 percent comes from our technical knowhow. We can have the best website or blog, know how to develop lead capture pages, and create and upload videos to Facebook, but if you can’t connect with your prospect you will never create the success that you desire.

The internet has made it easier for you to get your opportunity in front of thousands or millions of prospects via videos, blog posts, PPC Campaigns, Article Marketing, and many other forms of advertising, but if you don’t know how to connect with those prospects, you’re going to lose them to your competitors.

The best way to change the limiting beliefs that we have is to write what you believe is holding you back on a sheet of paper, type it into a word document, or write it in your journal if you have one. Then you have to write why you believe what you believe. An example would be “I fear picking up the phone to call prospects!” No you must answer why you fear picking up the phone to call prospects. It can be as simple as “I fear picking up the phone to call prospect because I fear rejection.” Now answer the reason why you fear rejection and so on.

There are many books written on this subject and one of my favorites is “Think and Grow Rich” by Napoleon Hill.  Until you change your limiting beliefs into empowering beliefs you will continue to do the same thing over and over again and expect different results. To get different results you have to change, and the best way to change is by creating a successful mindset for your network marketing business.
