Time Management: What Are You Doing With Your 86400?

by Steven Dobson · 7 comments

Everyday each of us is given the same 86400 seconds that are placed in our time bank. Be careful how you spend yours! Time Management is a funny term since we really cannot manage time, we can only manage ourselves in time. If you are struggling at building your network marketing business, you may not be effectively managing yourself in time. So, what are you doing with your 86400?

Many of us come into this industry thinking that we are going to become successful, but do very little to ensure our success. You have to do the things that successful people do in order to become successful. You have to read the books that successful people read. You have to listen to the tapes that successful people listen. You have to surround yourself with successful people. You have to spend some of those 86400 seconds that you are given everyday to do the things successful people do to ensure their success.

How much time are you spending doing the income producing activities that are going to make you money in your enterprise?

How much time are you spending increasing your knowledge of this industry?

How much time are you spending becoming the leader that you deserve to be?

Your answers to these questions will help you determine where you need to focus and spend some of those 86400 seconds. Time Management or managing yourself in time is something that you have to become great at because knowing how you spend your time is very important to your success.

“If it’s not in you, it won’t come out of you!” Unknown

I heard that quote a few years ago in relation to a response to someone saying an outside influence made them do it. I believe it was a very appropriate response and one that applies to where we spend our time and what we are doing to get to where we want to be. If you don’t spend your time increasing your value, it won’t come out of you. If you don’t spend your time increasing your knowledge, it won’t come out of you. If you don’t spend time doing the things to make you a better person, the best won’t come out of you.

Knowing what to say when talking to a prospect won’t come out of you unless you spend time understanding the needs and wants of people. You have to ask questions, listen, ask more questions, and then respond. Most people will tell you their needs and wants, but you have to spend more time listening to what they say and less time talking about your product or service.

What you do to manage yourself with the same amount of time that everyone else is give will make a world of difference in you and your business. Spend your time focusing on income producing activities and you will produce the results that you are looking for. Spend your time focusing on non income producing activities, and you will reap what you sew. What are you doing with your 86400?

This site seems to get a large ammount of visitors. How do you advertise it? It offers a nice unique twist on things. I guess having something authentic or substantial to post about is the most important thing.
