You Can’t Play the Network Marketing Game without a Team!

No matter how good you are at doing everything, you can’t play and win the Network Marketing game without a team. Even the great Michael Jordan could not win an NBA Championship without his team mates, so why would you want to play in the network marketing industry without a team.

When you’re new to the industry your sponsor is a part of your team and is responsible for making sure that you know the ropes when it comes to the opportunity that you joined. Too often our sponsor has just a little more knowledge than we do, and that does not make him/her the best person to learn from. That means we have to find a mentor or a coach so we learn the right way to grow our network marketing business.

Once you know how to build your business the right way, it’s time to add some new members to your team. By adding new team mates you’re building a sales force that will grow your income exponentially if you coach and train your team the right way to build their business. Duplication is what every network marketer wants in their business and the best way to ensure that you have duplication is to have a system that you can plug your new team mate into to make sure they have the skill-set needed to operate a successful business.

Coaching and training your team mates helps develop leaders in your organization, and the more leaders you have, the more money you make the more money you make, the more leverage you have. Leverage allows you to do other things to grow your business. Take a second to read the following quote by Andrew Carnegie to get an understanding of what I mean by leverage.

“I would rather have one percent of 100 people’s efforts than 100 percent of my own.”

That’s the type of leverage you will have when you build your network marketing business the right way. This business is about two things and two things only and if you master both of them, you will always have leverage. Those two things are building relationships and the sale of products and services, and the best way to do that is to build a successful team. Now read the following quote by John D. Rockefeller:

“I would rather earn 1% off a 100 people’s efforts than 100% of my own efforts.”

Together they speak directly to what we do in the network marketing business. When you build a team you’re capitalizing on the efforts and earning powers of your team mates. You’re only one person and you only have so many hours in the day, but when you have team mates, you multiply the number of hours you have and you multiply the number of things that you can accomplish. Stop trying to build your network marketing business without a team!
